Chand Ka Tukda
French toast served with rabri

Makes: Eight pieces

Time required: 15 minutes

Ingredients How to?
  • 2 bread slices
  • oil for frying
  • 300 ml sugar syrup
  • 150 ml rabri
  • 2 tbs (30 ml) brandy
  • 1 sheet silver varakh
  • 50 g mixed dry fruits, chopped

For the garnishing:

  • a handful of chopped nuts, fried
  • a few drops of brandy
  1. CUT each bread slice in a circle and then in quarters. 
  2. Heat oil and deep fry the bread pieces in hot oil till golden brown. 
  3. Sprinkle a little sugar syrup over the bread pieces.
  4. Mix the rabri and brandy well. 
  5. Arrange the bread pieces on a plate. 
  6. Coat them with brandy flavoured rabri. 
  7. Decorate with silver varakh. 
  8. Sprinkle chopped nuts and a little brandy on top before serving
