Sweet and Sour Chutney


Preparation time:  2 days
 * No cooking
* Makes 3 cups

Ingredients How to?
  • 25 grams tamarind (imli) 
  • teaspoon chili powder 
  • teaspoon cumin powder
  • teaspoon salt
  • a pinch black salt (sanchal) (optional)
  1. Wash the tamarind and dates and remove the seeds.
  2. Boil the tamarind, dates, sugar and salt with 1-1/2 teacups of water for 5 minutes.
  3. Blend the mixture in a mixer and strain.
  4. Add the chili powder, cumin powder and black salt and mix well.
