Clear Vegetable Broth 

Preparation time:   10 minutes  * Cooking time: 25 minutes  * Makes 4 cups

Ingredients How To ?
  • 2 thick pieces celery
  • 1 large carrot
  • 1 onion
  • 2 tablespoon chopped parsley
  • 1 bay leaf
  • 6 teacups water
  • 1 teaspoon Marmite
  • 2 teaspoons butter or oil
  • Salt and pepper to paste
  1. Chop the celery and carrot finely. Cut the onion into rings
  2. Heat the butter, add the bay leaf and onion and cook for 1 minute
  3. Add the vegetables and cook again for 3 to 4 minutes
  4. Add the water and boil for 15 to 20 minutes
  5. Add the chopped parsley, Marmite and salt and pepper

* Serve Hot
