Spinach Soup

Preparation time: 10 minutes  * Cooking time: 10 minutes   * Serves 4.

Ingredients How To ?
  • 1 teacups chopped spinach

  • 1 chopped onion
  • 2 teacups skim milk 
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  1. Cook the spinach and onion in teacup of water until soft.

  2. Add the milk and blend in a mixer. Strain.
  3. Add salt and pepper.

Serve hot, topped with grated paneer.

Variation LETTUCE SOUP Instead of spinach, use the same quantity of lettuce.

Health Information: Amongst vegetables, spinach has the highest amount of folic acid which is necessary for preventing Anaemia. The combination of spinach and milk results in a highly nutritious soup full of vitamins, iron and calcium. Excellent for children.
