Baked Paneer in Spinach with Tomato Gravy
 A different version of paneer vegetable, made in a style using spinach and other vegetables.

Approximate Calories: 88 Kcal per serving
Ingredients :  for 3 servings

For The Spinach

  • 4 1/2 cups chopped spinach (palak)
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 2 tsp plain flour (maida)
  • 3 green chillies, chopped
  • 2 tsp oil
  • salt to taste
Other Ingredients:
  • 200 gms chopped paneer (cottage cheese)
  • 1 1/2 cups chopped mixed boiled vegetables (French beans , carrots, cauliflower)
  • 3/4 cup tomato gravy
  • salt to taste
How To ?

For the spinach:

Cook the spinach without adding any water.
When cooked, blend in a liquidizer.
Heat the oil and fry the onion for 1/2 minute.
Add the flour and fry again for 1/2 minute.
Add the green chillies, spinach and salt and cook for 1 minute.

How to proceed:

Mix the spinach with the paneer, vegetables (French beans, carrots, cauliflower) and salt and spread in a baking dish.
Pour the tomato gravy on top.
If you like, grate a little of the paneer and sprinkle on top.
Bake in a hot oven at 200 degree c for 10 minutes.
Serve hot.

Eat protein at every meal, including breakfast.
Eliminate wheat- and flour-based products for the time being.
Reduce starch to one portion a day, and don't eat that portion during your evening meal.
Apples, pears, plums and berries all are good choices. Bananas are not.
Reduce or eliminate dairy for the time being, especially cow's milk.
