Tomato Rice
Generally tomato Rice differs according to their region. This tomato rice is traditional south Indian style. Simple ingredients make this recipe more tasteful. This south Indian style tomato rice avoids so many masalas. So here is a perfect south Indian style tomato rice is ready to eat.

       Ingredients How to?
  • Ponni Rice - 1 Cup
  • Tomatoes medium size - 6
  • Green Chilli - 3 Nos Slit
  • Onion Small - 1 piece Chopped lengthwise
  • Mustard seeds - 1 tbsp
  • Turmeric - 1 tsp
  • Oil - 3 tbsp
  • Curry Leaves
  • Salt
    • Cook the Rice and spread over the plate.
    • Boil the tomatoes in the pressure cooker and peel off and keep it aside.
    • Heat the Oil in the Pan and add mustard seeds.
    • When spluttering, add Onions, fry until raw smell goes off.
    • Add turmeric powder, salt and tomatoes.
    • Keep stirring.
    • Now mix with the rice and stir well to evaporate water if any.

    Note: Don’t use Tomato paste and Garama masala.
    Tips: Basmati rice will bring extra taste.
